Israel Group itinerary

September - Arrive Tel Aviv
Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport. Transfer to our hotel in Tel Aviv.

September - Tel Aviv orientation tour
Morning orientation bus tour of Tel Aviv. Continue to Jaffa with its ancient port, contemporary artist's colony and posh boutiques. Depart for historical Caesarea to see the ancient port and huge Roman Theater. Continue to Haifa, Israel's major sea port city rising steeply up Mount Carmel. Stop for a breathtaking view of Haifa Bay. Continue on to Tiberias.

September - Tiberias
Morning boat ride across the Sea of Galilee, from Tiberias to Capernaum to visit the ruins of a 2nd Century synagogue, and Tabgha, where a well preserved mosaic floor commemorates the site of the Miracle of the loaves and the fishes. Tour the Golan Heights and then continue to the Banias Springs, one of the sources of the Jordan River. Visit the Good Fence crossing point on the Lebanese border.

September - Jerusalem
After a walking/wheeling tour of the Kibbutz, drive on to Nazareth for a visit to the Church of the Annunciation. Continue south to Jerusalem through the Jordan Valley. Visit Jericho, including Hisham's Palace and the excavations of the oldest city in the world.

September - Jerusalem
Morning visit to the Scale Model of Jerusalem during the time of King Herod, an introduction to your walking tour of the Old City. Enter through the Jaffa Gate and into the reconstructed Jewish Quarter. Proceed along the newly restored Cardo Maximus a former Roman street over 2000 years old. Continue on to the Western Wall and then go to the gold topped Dome of the Rock, the 3rd most sacred Mosque of Islam. Wander along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and the exotic Arab bazaars. Drive to biblical Mt. Zion to see the Tomb of King David.

September - Jerusalem /Bethlehem
Tour of the new city with its modern institutions. Hebrew University's modern campus, Hadassah Hospital's magnificent Chagall Windows, Yad Vashem Memorial, the Knesset, the Israel Museum and the Shrine of the Book housing the Dead Sea Scrolls. Afternoon drive to Bethlehem and visit the Church of the Nativity.

September - Jerusalem / Independent day
This is a day of leisure, or why not take the optional tour to the Dead Sea and Masada. Departing Jerusalem and traveling along the shores of the Dead Sea to the lowest point at Masada. Ascend by cable car to visit the excavations. Continue to Ein Geddi passing the site of the Qumran Caves, for a swim in the Dead Sea before returning to Jerusalem. Cost of optional tour $80.00 per person.

September - Departure
Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for your journey home.
