Say farewell to Rotorua and drive North to Auckland Airport where we catch our domestic flight to the South Island to Christchurch, largest city on the South Island and springboard for the Southern sightseeing experience. A day trip to the famous Southern Alp mountain range. By van, follow the same route as first the stage coaches to Arthus Pass national park along the route of the the now famed TranzAlpine express. We drive to the old gold mining town of Arrowtown and we have an opportunity to experience a wild NZ jet boat ride along the way (optional Jet Boat Activity). These famous boats were invented in NZ to travel at great speed on shallow rivers.
