Day 2:
Orientation tour of Manila
After breakfast at your hotel, depart for a whole day tour of Old Manila
with sight-seeing at Malacanang Palace, Museum of the Filipino People,
Intramuros, Fort Santiago, Casa Manila, San Agustin Church, Rizal Park,
American Memorial. This tour includes services of a licensed guide with
lunch and private transportation and entrance fees. (see descriptions
below). Late in the afternoon, return to your hotel. Balance of the
day and evening for independent activities.
Day 3:
Independent day in Manila
Breakfast at the hotel. Day independent activities.
Day 4:
Day tour outside Manila
After breakfast at your hotel, depart for countryside tour of VILLA
ESCUDERO. This includes services of a licensed guide, private transportation
,lunch and tour of the coconut plantation. (Detailed description follows)
This is a two hour trip south of Manila.
Day 5:
Independent day in Manila
Breakfast at your hotel. Day independent activities.
Day 6:
Shopping day in Manila
Breakfast at the hotel. Whole day shopping with the services of your
private driver and guide for shopping in and around Manila.
Day 7:
Manila departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Assisted transfer to the airport for your return
flight home, or to your next destination.

VILLA ESCUDERO: Two a half-hours South of Manila is the quaint & historic
Villa Escudero set amidst a pastoral grove of coconut palms, verdant
fields and mountains to bring one back to the days of the old plantation
life. Highlights of the tour are a museum of historic religious and
World War 2 artifacts. Carabao-drawn carts transport picnickers to man
made waterfalls where lunch is serve on tables set over a flowing stream.
Then it's off to the pools for a refreshing cool down. On weekends a
cultural show incomparable to any in the Philippines is available.
CITY TOUR
: An introduction to Manila and it's Suburbs starting with Rizal Park
and Fort Santiago. From the Walled City of the Intramuros, proceed to
downtown Manila across the Pasig River. Then to cosmopolitan suburbs
of Makati - the Makati Commercial Center, Forbes Park, and the Manila
American Memorial Cemetery. Return to Manila for a trip to the reclaimed
area and the Cultural Center Complex along Roxas Boulevard. Our program
provides ample time for shopping before returning to the point of origin.
MUSEUM
OF THE FILIPINO PEOPLE: There are several collections you can visit.
Here are a few of the highlights you can see during your visit to the
Museum.
GALLERY I - SAN DIEGO I ( The wreck site) A walk-in Diorama depicting
the wreck site of the Spanish-ship " San Diego" its artifacts and how
it appeared when discovered by archaeologists at a depth of 54 meters
underwater.
GALLERY
II - THE BEST OF PHILIPPINE ART features some of the finest paintings
and sculptural pieces of the National Museum's art collection which
include the works of 19th century masters, national artists for visual
arts, contemporary painters and sculptors. The exhibit is highlighted
by Dr. Jose Rizal's sculptures " El Ermitano" and " A Mother's Revenge."
GALLERY
III - THE FIVE CENTURIES OF MARITIME TRADE BEFORE THE ARRIVAL OF THE
WEST. An actual storage exhibit depicting the Philippines as one of
the major links in the maritime trade among the East Asian countries
before the arrival of the Spaniards to the Philippine Archipelago. On
display are rare and significant pieces recovered by the National Museum
from wreck sites.

IV : SAN DIEGO II . Traces the history of the battleship " San Diego"
when it collided with the Dutch Ship, "Mauritius" on Dec. 14,1600 off
the shores of Nasugbu, Batangas bringing down 14 cannons, armaments
and navigational instruments.

V - SAN DIEGO III . Showcases treasures retrieved from the ill-fated
ship, "San Diego", which include jars, porcelain, jewelry, tableware,
devotional items, silver coins and pottery.

VI - PINAGMULAN (The origin) . One of the best galleries that present
information on the origin of the Philippine islands and the Filipinos
as a whole. Interactive displays and hands-on gadgets are installed
to make visit more meaningful and enjoyable.

VII- KABAN NG LAHI (Archeological treasures) . Portrays the burial practices
of ancient Filipinos and shows samples of burial jars as well as utilitarian
pottery excavated in different cave sites. Learn about one-of-a-kind
pottery discovered in Saranggani Province that are shaped in human figures
and with different facial expressions.
GALLERY
VIII- KINAHINATNAN (The Filipinos today) . This gallery gives an insight
into a diversity of culture that is truly Filipino. It focuses on the
material culture of the different ethno-linguistic groups in the country.
The exhibit is divided into 4 sections: The Filipino People, The Ecological
Zones, The National Treasures and the National Living Treasures.
